POTONG is a one-MICHELIN-star progressive Thai-Chinese fine-dining restaurant in Yaowarat (Bangkok's Chinatown), founded and chef-owned by Pichaya 'Pam' Soontornyanakij — The World's Best Female Chef 2025. It occupies the family's century-old Sino-Portuguese shophouse at 422 Vanich 1 Road, which for four generations was a traditional Chinese herbal-medicine house. The kitchen is built on Chef Pam's 5 Elements (Salt, Acid, Spice, Texture, Maillard Reaction) and 5 Senses (Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, Touch) philosophies, served as a multi-course chef's tasting menu. POTONG is ranked No. 13 in The World's 50 Best Restaurants 2025 (Highest New Entry) and No. 25 in Asia's 50 Best Restaurants 2026.
